Privacy Policy
The nineteenth of May, in the year two thousand and twenty-six.
The reader's privacy is treated here as a matter of trust between guest and house, never as a commodity to be traded across the counter.
What We Gather
We record only what an honest accounting requires: aggregate analytics events, the pages a reader visits, the path that brought them in, and anonymised information about the browser and device in use. We do not gather names, addresses, or any personal particular that a careful librarian would think it improper to keep.
Cookies & Kindred Devices
Small text files — cookies, and the local storage that accompanies them — are used to remember a reader's preferences and to allow our analytics to count visits without double-counting them. A consent banner is presented on first arrival; the reader may decline non-essential cookies there, or clear them at any time through the browser's own controls.
Affiliate Relationships
Certain outbound links carry an affiliate identifier, by which a vendor may recognise that a reader arrived from these pages. No personal information about the reader is conveyed by the act of clicking; the identifier speaks only of the referring page, not the person.
Third Parties
We employ Google Analytics to measure traffic in aggregate, governed by Google's privacy notice, and the reader may opt out via the Analytics opt-out add-on. Outbound product links route through affiliate networks operated by the respective vendors, each of which publishes its own privacy notice on its own premises.
Correspondence
A reader who wishes to know what we hold, to correct an error, or to have a record erased may write to [email protected]. Such requests are answered in the order they arrive, and as promptly as a small house permits.
